01 / PROFILE

BEYOND THE WANTED POSTER

Blackbeard.

Marshall D. Teach, better known as Blackbeard, leads a crew assembled around ambitious and dangerous individuals. Once associated with the Whitebeard Pirates, he pursues his own route toward power. His Dark-Dark Fruit and willingness to wait for an opening make him a particularly disruptive presence at sea.

He mirrors the romance of pirate ambition while stripping away its generosity, inviting comparison between chasing a dream and treating everyone else as disposable.

02 / THE TECHNIQUES

A signature all their own.

Yami Yami no Mi

The Dark-Dark Fruit creates absorbing darkness with an unusually strong gravitational pull.

Black Hole

Spreading darkness draws surrounding objects inward before he releases what it absorbs.

Kurouzu

A focused gravitational pull draws a selected opponent toward his outstretched hand.

03 / THE JOURNEY

Moments that matter.

A stranger in Mock Town

An encounter over food introduces a loud traveler whose tastes and certainty immediately contrast with those of Luffy.

Dreams in the street

His confidence in impossible ambitions complicates an introduction otherwise shaped by disagreement and the rough atmosphere of Jaya.

03STORY SPOILERAn unprecedented display

At Marineford, Teach acquires Whitebeard's quake power while retaining his darkness, overturning expectations about the limits of Devil Fruits.
